2026: Keep It Lit
Happy New Year!

We made it through 2025, give yourself a pat on the back!
I’m feeling a lot of optimism for 2026 and it’s GO TIME.
Mindful go time, balance and flow, time to clear and organize- let go of stuff…
Top 3 Goals for 2026:
Work less, get paid more.
Clear, organize, and rid of unnecessary stuff and associations.
Live more in the heart and soul space, less in the head.
“No, we’re never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy.”
And have FUN, whatever that means to you. This is it, no replay, Life in real time.
Other nations are playing with shorter work weeks cuz they’re smart, the end.
I used to be sort of a pseudo-martyr thinking it was my responsibility to fix the world. The quote by Woody Allen resonated:
“I can’t be happy unless everyone is. If there’s one guy out there starving, it puts a crimp in my evening.”
The problem is, we can’t fix it all, and if we did, it would get messed up again.
The best-case scenario is finding a line of enjoyable work that helps others in some way and to just be a good person. Many of us with children already have a service-based purpose, and keeping a family afloat these days is enough work.
5 Things we can do now to help the world:
Be kind to all people.
Open the door for the next person.
Pay for the order for the next person in line.
Donate when possible.
Take care of ourselves, this helps others the most.
5 Things we can do now to feel better:
Put the phone or device down and go outside.
Eat more fruits and veggies.
Be more spontaneous, take a road trip, see where we end up.
Clear and organize our entire space, digital too.
Listen to an album and have downtime.
Or, we can let the media control us and focus on whatever issue they want us to, and this is exactly why they do it:
MEDIA LITERACY 101
“Manipulation is profitable.”
They may try to get us to focus on the death of one person, meanwhile since you started reading this, 120 people a minute died from various causes. Everyone’s life is equally valuable, is it not?
Their playbook is simple: Cue music, divide the people, create instability, repeat. Don’t fall for it. Think.
120 people die a minute, say their names. No? Why not? We’re floating in space on a bone machine, the end.
Get out of the Hunger Games, take your attention back, your focus, your emotions, and create the life you want to create.
If you’re lucky, the moment you stop sinking is the moment you help others rise.
Just because the world is heavily influenced by the type of people that put needles in candy bars for trick-or-treaters doesn’t mean we can’t create better.
If there was nothing bad in the world, there would be nothing good.
A Free will/Unconditional love/Freedom model universe means hands off by the Creator(s); all is allowed to manifest.
So, the trick to this freedom game is to ignore what others do and create the world we want to live in. It’s not about fighting the old, it’s about creating the new. Sharks will be sharks.
If you don’t like it, create better. The end.
Investment tip for 2026: Into stocks? Might want to peak at SHOP, NVDA, AXON. A little home day-trading might be a nice hobby.
Health tip for 2026: Get up earlier, go outside and get moving.
Overall tip for 2026: Do the hard things first.
We should stop worrying so much what others think of us. Nobody knows what it’s like to walk in our shoes. They say:
“Once you ruin your reputation, you’re free to do almost anything.”
Worrying about what others think is one of the main contributors of complacency.
When we are more spontaneous and soul based, the more magic happens (and coincidences, and sometimes frustrating ones).
I had some years with crazy coincidences:
I submitted my graphite electronic cigarette (that filters the air so you’re technically getting cleaner air) to an invention company (I later found out had a bad reputation) several years before e-cigs surfaced.
I submitted my comedy-keychain concept to the same company, same thing.
I submitted a film concept to a Hollywood guy that buys concepts. The premise was: Three boys on bicycles ride through the woods and discover an underground government facility where ultra-gifted children are seen doing incredible things. ETC. Several years later, Stranger Things came out. Kinda interesting.
This also relates to what David Lynch called ‘The Idea Warehouse’, which anyone can access, and it’s just about who can get there first. Many people come up with the same ideas.
Random tandem:
One time, I was headed to Niagara Falls to apply for a job at The Maid of the Mist. On the way, I saw this hippy hitchhiker, so I picked him up. His name was Yo.
He convinced me not to apply at the Maid of the Mist and explained that the staff were trained to divert the passengers’ attention away from floating bodies (from apparent suicides where people would jump off the falls after losing big at the casino).
Yo was hoping to get to a music festival in Rochester, NY, so I went with him and had a stellar time, staying all day. It was refreshing. I’m not advising you pick up hitchhikers:)
Another random time I ended up talking with The Flaming Lips with my son for a good while, mostly with Wayne. He was going off on some interesting rant and was very interested in the details about my hand injury from the car accident.
My 90’s band 7” record, there are a couple left for sale! DM me.

My mother and I at a relative’s birthday party. I am helping her write her second book. Her first book Unfinished Rhapsody: The Other Side of Fame (about my sister Kristen) can be found HERE.
There are many flipsides of fame, and honestly, I don’t want to be famous, I wouldn’t want that many people ‘following’ me. Lol.
Famous people like all people, will end up just the same, as Tom Waits eerily states in his lyrics, “We’re all gonna be just dead in the ground.”
Fame puts imaginary lines and people up on pedestals and these pedestals are spiritually weak. Many people that become famous can’t handle the spotlight and in return they turn to potentially fatal substance use.
Jim Morrison made great music, but he led a highly unsustainable life and didn’t set a very good example. One might say Kurt Cobain was in part troubled because he knew he wasn’t setting a good example with his intense and overt drug use.
But to each their own. I’m not judging. I’m observing.
THE ENERGY REPORT
Where attention goes is what grows, and we are all growing something.
It might be good to start the new year with clear intentions and perhaps a mission statement clearly defining our mission.
Balance is key, awareness is currency. Nobody is gonna bring us our wishes on a silver platter.
“Faith can move mountains, but you better bring a shovel.”
Long before we were here, the sun shined, and it will shine well after we are gone.
It’s a fascinating time to be alive, which includes terrifying as well. I could say
you got this, but what would be much more effective is if you believe it yourself.
We are built to learn, so not to atrophy it is ideal to push ourselves to learn more.
It’s probably a good idea to spend 15 minutes a day learning, and if you want my
advice, learn how to generate more wealth, we’re gonna need it.
So many energies trying to skew our perception to see a certain way, but what is
our own original way of seeing?
One step in the right direction can shift the maze and doors start to magically open.
Baby-steps.
Say the story out loud, whatever it is. “I’m scared, and it’s OK.” Deflate the illusion
it’s too much. Use truth as a compass, and call out the BS.
Few know what they’re doing, and some of the people that think they right are
fu***** nuts. It’s OK not to know. It’s OK to feel. It’s OK to be human.
We will proceed…

Poem 23
Ow
AI can be useful to visualize goals. A couple of mine:
Creative farm and recording studios scenario:
My very long-term goal of building an all-weather multi-use path across the USA parallel to Amtrak:
My vision of a more creative suburban landscape in the USA:
Build it and they will come. A dream doesn’t have to be massive. It simply seems that if one sincerely enjoys it and it’s a service people want, it’s very possible.
But dedication doesn’t always come easy. Sometimes we gotta do lots of stuff to figure out what we do and do not like.
Whatever your dream is, I hope you manifest it or come closer to manifesting it this year. Let’s make 2026 count.
All the best to you.
Big Love,
JP
